Flood Protection on the Suhre River – Measures Stand the Test
(September 2005)

The construction works for flood protection in the community of Muhen on the Suhre River (Switzerland) was completed at the end of 2004. Colenco’s flood protection concept (reference Colenco-Info 2/03) stood the test during the large floods in August 2005. The river side overflow structures discharged the flow from the existing river through a controlled agricultural area. Damages in the village were prevented.
