Colenco Info May 2002 Results of the Children's Ballon Contest The winners of the children's balloon flying competition have been determined and the prizes handed out. Roman Mützenberg's balloon flew all the way to St. Gallen and to first place in our competition. First prize was admission for 6 (2 adults und 4 children) to the Kindermuseum in Baden. Selina Hüsler's balloon flew to Schönholzerwilen in Canton Thurgau and qualified for second prize. Selina's prize was admission for 4 (2 adults und 2 children) to the outdoor pool in Baden. Jöran Böhner claimed third prize, a HappyMeal at McDonalds in Baden-Dättwil, with his balloon which flew to Hosenruck in Canton Thurgau. We wish our lucky little winners lots of fun with their prizes. A Successful Open House Celebration at Colenco Power Engineering Ltd (July 2003) Our inauguration celebration on Saturday, 14 June 2003 was a rousing success. Over 150 employees accompanied by their families and our business neighbours in the vicinity visited us on this hot Saturday and took part on a tour of the company and its new office space by the management. In our "festival room" on the ground floor our guests were treated to the sounds of our own "house band" noIse protectioNA, and the numerous children were entertained with face painting by the employees of the Little Foot Day-Care (which opens its doors in Terzo in August 2003), charmed by a magician and took part in a balloon flying contest. Besides the grilled sausages and a variety of cooling refreshments, the ice cream wagon with its cold contents was in hot demand.
All visitors had the possibility of displaying their knowledge about the business of Colenco Power Engineering Ltd in a competition. By the large number of correct answers the winners had to be decided by a draw. The drawing took place on the 25th June, 2003 by our incorruptible telephonists Willi Bolliger. The winners are listed below. We congratulate the lucky winners and thank all of our guests for their attendance and interest in our company. 1st Prize: Martin Schuster who wins 2 tickets for the Kurtheater Baden and dinner for 2 in the Hotel DuParc P.S. Official Commissioning of 2 Hydropower Plants in Slovenia The two hydropower plants Plave and Doblar on the Soca River in Slovenia, commissioned in 1940, have recently been upgraded by the construction of two new power plants. Noteworthy is the construction of two headrace tunnels of 6 and 4 km in length by a Double-Shield TBM. The new power plants, Plave II and Doblar II, were officially commissioned on April 24th 2003 by the Head of the State of Slovenia. On this occasion, Colenco was honored for its services, rendered since 1996 as independent Consultant of the Owner during the design, tender and construction phase of the project.
