After over 100, respectively 80 years of operation, the Hydropower Plants Ruppoldingen und Gösgen have, during the past four years, undergone complete renovation. On Saturday, March 23rd, 2002 Atel Hydro AG is holding an Open House and invite the public to come and visit the plants.

Biomass Cogeneration Utility Meiringen, Meiringen, Switzerland
(Mar. 2002)

The Cogeneration Utility Meiringen initially commissioned Colenco Power Engineering Ltd to investigate the necessary measures for the optimization and rehabilitation of their biomass-fired cogeneration plants and its associated district heating networks
(approx. 10 MW thermal and 700 kW electrical output). Subsequently, based on the results of these investigations, Colenco performed the selected optimization and rehabilitation measures for this plant. Through these implemented measures, the efficiency and reliability of the plant were significantly increased and an economical operating mode was achieved.

Environmental Impact Assessment Report for 715 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Phu My 2.2 in Vietnam (März 2002)

Mekong Energy Company Ltd. (MECO) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam was awarded by the Government of Socialist Republic of Vietnam to build and operate a 715 MW gas-fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (Phu My 2.2 BOT Power Project). For this project, the Consortium Colenco/Fichtner (with Colenco as the leader) was commissioned by MECO for the preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment Report in accordance with the guidelines and requirements of the international financial institutions (Worldbank and Asian Development Bank). This Environmental Impact Assessment Report was successfully performed and submitted to the Client in January 2002.
